In a press release on December 1, 2009 American Honda announced that the 2010 Honda Accord and 2010 Honda Fit were included in the "10 Best Cars" award by Car and Driver Magazine The Accord has received this award 24 times in 28 years and the Fit honored each of the four years it has been for sale in the U.S.
